Big Up to the Rockin’ Girls!
Check me, trying to sound hip, like that time that Tony Blair picked up a guitar for the cameras or worse that awful photo shoot where a bunch of Scottish Politicians put t-shirts over their shirts and ties and baseball caps on. Aaaah that was hilarious……I digress.
This isn’t a blog, this is more of an announcement. The lovely and funny blogorific Misssy Surviving Motherhood gave me that nomination bubblegum pink button over there that says Rockin’ Girl Blogger. Apparently she thinks blogs about homing snails make me worth it. And who am I to argue?
Now it’s my turn to nominate some other female bloggers I think rock.
I am going to nominate four laydees for four different reasons:
Taexalia: Basically Taexalia is a hippy. There’s no getting away from it. She talks about channelling her inner wolf and all that. Frankly, she’s a bit out there! As a blogger, she gives good value, filming foxes in her back garden for our viewing pleasure and talking about the uphill struggle of an artist who is opening herself up to any creative means of expression she can lay her hands on. Blogwise, we’re chalk and cheese, but I read her every day.
Evvy B: Ev has just booted her blog out of Myspace and onto tinternet proper and just as well as it’s a jolly good read. Local DJ by night, educator by day, this week she’s waging war against her slothful Italian neighbour.
Insteadi: Insteadi is a Scotswoman who lives in Cairo. I like ex-pat abroad stuff, but I like her’s best.
Cat: Cat is a seasoned blogger and needs no boost to her readership, as she’s doing just fine. But it would be churlish of me not to nominate just because I’m envious of her stats! Especially since her’s is usually the first blog I check after mine when I log on. It’s like a flipping soap opera over there! She also does this cool thing where she names each post after a relevant song. Wish I’d thought of that.
